Amazing Grace
year4buzz | October 30, 2008On the 7th of September 1838 a terrible storm wrecked the SS –Forfarshire.
As Grace Darling and her dad William
rowed, they came to rocks.
Her dad got out of the boat, to examine the survivors.
Grace was steadying the boat. William did his best to help them. William, Grace, and the survivors rowed back to the light house.
Grace became popular and when Queen Victoria found out about her bravery she was rewarded with a medal.
Unfortunately Grace died four years later at the age of 26.
